Clinton Leads Trump Slightly on TV

2016 Election Media Monitors In-Depth Report

White Plains, NY (October 24, 2016) – Media Monitors, the leader in local media monitoring, released its update on the Presidential election and the spots that both parties have been running on TV in sixty-one top DMAs (Designated Market Area) in the last ten days – October 14 – 23, 2016.

TV Spots - All Active Candidates: Oct 14 - 23, 2016

In the last ten days, Hillary Clinton’s campaign aired 15,246 spots on Broadcast TV.

Donald Trump For President ran 11,339 spots.

Next, the National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action bought 1,710 spots for Donald Trump.

iAmerica Action (Labor Alliance Super PAC) – SEIU (Service Employees International Union) COPE (the union’s fund raising brand) ran 768 spots in support of Hillary Clinton.

The Latino Victory Fund Super PAC bought 115 ads in support of Hillary Clinton.

The 45Committee Super PAC aired 10 spots for Donald Trump.

And finally, Local Voices Super PAC placed 4 spots for Clinton.

Our Totals on spots: For Hillary Clinton 16,133 and for Donald Trump 13,059 spots in the last ten days.

TV Spots "Against" Candidates: Oct 14 - 23, 2016

On the “Against” spots, the majority were against Donald Trump.

The NextGen California Action Committee bought 1,401 spots against the Republican nominee.

Priorities USA Action, a known Clinton supporter, placed 1,240 spots against Trump.

The Super PAC iAmerica Action along with SEIU COPE aired 890 spots against Donald Trump.

The National Rifle Association’s Institute For Legislative Action ran 875 spots against Hillary Clinton.

The Super PAC Rebuilding America Now bought 367 spots against Clinton and the Reform America Fund added 145 negative spots against Clinton.

The Latino Victory Project placed 131 spots against Donald Trump along with the Super PAC Voto Latino with 113 ads saying negative things about Donald Trump.

And finally, the Super PAC Our Principles bought one spot against Trump.

Our Totals on “Against” spots: Spots against Hillary Clinton totaled 1,387, while negative spots on Donald Trump totaled 3,776 ads.
